Reed is on the disabled list with High-A Visalia due to an undisclosed injury.
Reed had a 6.06 ERA in 35.2 innings following a promotion to High-A, and his struggles seem to be attributable to a velocity decline, likely caused by this undisclosed injury. On the one hand, it is encouraging to know that his struggles were likely due to an injury, and not a lack of ability to get High-A hitters out. However, if it is an arm injury, he could be slated for a lengthy absence from the mound. It would not be surprising if he did not pitch again in 2016.
