Montgomery was removed from Monday's appearance versus the Dodgers in the seventh inning after being hit in the lower right leg with a comebacker, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.
The left-hander immediately developed a sizable welt on his leg after being hit with a Teoscar Hernandez comebacker. Montgomery was making his second relief appearance since being demoted to the bullpen and was charged with three runs over 2.2 innings. The Diamondbacks should have more on Montgomery's condition after the game.
