Heath was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
Heath made just one start after he was recalled in late June, and he went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts during his time in the majors. He should see more consistent playing time at Triple-A Reno, while outfielder Stuart Fairchild was recalled by the Diamondbacks in a corresponding move.
