Wright was released by the Diamondbacks on Monday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
The 30-year-old lefty signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks back in January but failed to make the 25-man roster this spring despite pitching well (2.16 ERA and eight strikeouts in 8.1 innings). Wright, who has a career 4.16 ERA across eight MLB seasons, will look to latch on with a new team.
