Muncy will sit Tuesday against St. Louis, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Muncy has been in a slump over his last 16 games, hitting .133/.212/.283 while striking out 30.3 percent of the time, well above the 18.2 percent strikeout rate he'd managed prior to that point. He'll rest against lefty J.A. Happ, with Albert Pujols starting at first base against his former team.
