Ohtani (knee) threw live batting practice Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Ohtani threw 30 pitches in what was his first time facing live hitters since being shut down from pitching last month due to knee issues. Manager Dave Roberts said afterward that Ohtani will likely need another round of live BP before getting cleared to pitch in games, but he doesn't seem to be too far away from returning to the mound.
