Giants manager Tony Vitello said that Whisenhunt will make his next start Monday versus the Reds in San Francisco, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Whisenhunt was initially slated to face the Red Sox on Sunday at Fenway Park, but the 25-year-old southpaw will instead receive an extra day of rest in between outings. Through his first seven starts of the season with San Francisco, Whisenhunt owns a 7.03 ERA and 1.84 WHIP across 32 innings. He's coming off a rough showing against the Guardians on Tuesday, when he allowed a season-high seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks over four frames.
