McCray was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
McCray will make his return to the big leagues after being demoted to Triple-A 10 days earlier. Jung Hoo Lee is serving as the designated hitter Monday and Victor Bericoto (knee) was placed on the 10-day IL, allowing McCray to draw the start in right field and bat eighth in the series opener.
