Bart (back) was assigned to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday to start a rehab assignment.

It's significant news for the 26-year-old and the Giants, especially since Roberto Perez (shoulder) was placed on the 60-day injured list Saturday. Bart will be eligible to be activated during the upcoming week, and he should be ready to go after playing in a couple of minor-league games.
