The Giants optioned Matos to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Matos had gone 4-for-27 (.148) over his last 10 games and is slashing just .241/.306/.316 in 175 total plate appearances this season at the major-league level. Wade Meckler is getting the call to San Francisco in a corresponding roster move.
