The Giants recalled Luciano from Triple-A Sacramento, and he's batting sixth as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Athletics.
The 22-year-old is one of San Francisco's top prospects and is expected to see regular playing time after the club traded away Jorge Soler. Luciano went 9-for-24 during his brief look in the big leagues in May and has a .243/.384/.371 slash line with eight homers at Triple-A this year.
