The Giants sent Hentges to the 15-day injured list with a left forearm strain Sunday, retroactive to Aug. 27.
Hentges last appeared Tuesday against the Reds, registering an inning of work. The left-hander will make his second stint on the IL this season after missing part of the first half of the campaign due to knee surgery in August of 2025. This year, the 29-year-old owns a 1-6 record, 3.27 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 35:23 K:BB over 33 innings.
