The Giants selected Bandura's contract from Triple-A Sacramento, and he's batting fifth as the designated hitter Sunday against the Padres.

The 27-year-old will get his first look in the majors after posting an .895 OPS with 13 homers and 34 steals in 131 games between the Double-A and Triple-A levels this year. Bandura fills the roster spot vacated by Rafael Devers, who was placed on the 60-day IL on Sunday due to a core muscle injury.
