Whitcomb was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Whitcomb was claimed by the Giants earlier in August after he was designated for assignment by the Astros, and he'll now get a chance to make his debut with his new club. He'll draw the start at the hot corner and bat seventh Monday following his promotion.
