Tinoco (elbow) elected free agency Saturday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Tinoco was outrighted off the Marlins' 40-man roster Wednesday and will now enter the open market while he recovers from a UCL surgery he underwent in September. He's expected to take the mound again in 2027.
