Emerson will undergo season-ending left wrist surgery Wednesday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
The exact nature of the procedure is not clear, but Emerson is expected to be 100 percent recovered in time for spring training. The rookie infielder finishes his season having slashed .190/.246/.335 with eight home runs, three stolen bases and a 15:83 BB:K over 69 games. Despite the lackluster first stint in the big leagues, Emerson is the odds-on favorite to open the 2027 campaign as the Mariners' starting shortstop.
