Santos (knee) allowed a run on two hits and a hit batsman and struck out one over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.
As expected, Santos was available to pitch after sustaining a minor right knee injury Wednesday. He was once again shaky, putting three of the five batters he faced on base. Santos was charged with a run after Andres Munoz allowed one of them to score on a wild pitch. Through 4.2 innings this season, Santos has a 4:1 K:BB but has allowed four runs while adding a hold, a blown save and a loss across five appearances. He'll likely continue to see high-leverage work, but the Mariners' trade for Yimi Garcia further complicates the path for Santos to get a share of saves.
