Polanco went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run in a loss to the Pirates on Friday.

Polanco uncorked his 12th home run of the season in the ninth inning with the bases empty to give Seattle a brief ray of hope in what was ultimately a two-run loss. The veteran has now left the yard in two of the last four games and reached safely in each contest during that span, a brief reprieve from his season-long struggles.
