Polanco (knee) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.
Polanco was removed in the eighth inning of Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to a knee injury, and he will sit for the series opener Friday. Leo Rivas will start at second base and bat ninth against Phillies right-hander Tyler Phillips.
