Marte is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Marte has been held without a hit over the last three games, as he's seen his average drop to .160 on the season. He'll get a day off while Luis Sardinas will take over the duties at shortstop and bat second against Derek Holland.
