Cortes was traded from the Yankees to the Mariners on Monday in exchange for international bonus pool money, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

Cortes was available cheap after being designated for assignment Wednesday. He's yet to show much in 71.1 major-league innings, struggling to a 5.80 ERA.
