The Marlins optioned Gibson to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Gibson surrendered six runs across 8.1 innings during spring training and will miss out on the Opening Day roster. The left-hander is likely to get a look with the Marlins at some point in 2026 after posting a 2.63 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 43:21 K:BB over 54.2 innings last season.
