Axelrod signed a minor league deal with the Marlins that includes an invite to Spring Training, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
Axelrod spent the last two seasons with the Reds, where he logged just over 30 innings in the majors. Over 105.2 frames at the Triple-A level, the right-hander posted a 4.68 ERA and 5.88 K/9. He'll look to catch on in a new organization, and the Marlins will benefit from a low-risk deal.
