Cooper (concussion) reported to Single-A Jupiter to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
The 31-year-old landed on the 7-day IL after suffering a concussion last week, but he quickly cleared the necessary protocols and is back on the field. Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Cooper is scheduled to play three consecutive days in the minors before being re-evaluated and potentially rejoining the big-league club.
