The Marlins reinstated Conine (hamstring) from the 60-day injured list Sunday. He'll start in right field and bat second in the Marlins' series finale against the Giants.
Conine is back with the big club for the first time since early April after a prolonged absence due to a left hamstring tear that required surgery. During a three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville, he went 4-for-10 with a home run while making one start apiece at first base and in right and left field. With Miami placing Liam Hicks (back) on the 10-day IL on Sunday, Conine could have a fairly clear runway to regular playing time against right-handed pitching.
