The Marlins announced Monday that Wendle (intercostal) remains shut down from baseball activities, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Wendle is a week removed from suffering a right intercostal strain and isn't ready to ramp things back up yet. He shouldn't take an extended period time to get back up to full speed once he's resumes baseball activities, but it's not clear when that might happen. He looks like he'll end up spending more than the minimum 10 days on the injured list.
