Flores (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday.
The Marlins acted quickly in moving Flores to the DL after the right-hander was forced to exit Saturday's start against the Nationals in the fourth inning with a right shoulder strain. Flores was only making a spot start with the Marlins playing a doubleheader, so the team won't need to find a replacement for him in the rotation.
