Rojas (thumb) is likely headed for a stint on the disabled list, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas was lifted in just the second inning of Sunday's game with a badly bruised right thumb, and it looks like he may need a brief stint on the disabled list to allow it to properly heal. "It didn't look like it's going to be two or three days," manager Don Mattingly said. "It looks like something is up." Rojas is set to have X-rays performed sometime Monday, at which point there should be a clearer outlook for him. With Rojas and regular third baseman Martin Prado (hamstring) sidelined, Derek Dietrich should see the majority of the starts at the hot corner.
