Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Blasts homer in win
Rojas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Athletics.
Rojas homered in the sixth inning and supplied another RBI with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The infielder hasn't seen a lot of playing time lately, but he was in the lineup at second base Tuesday since Tommy Edman shifted over to third base while Max Muncy sat out versus a left-handed pitcher. Rojas is up to three homers this season, with two of them coming over his last 11 games. He's batting .279 with a .743 OPS, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, seven doubles and no stolen bases over 140 plate appearances this season.

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Slugs game-winning homer
Rojas hit a solo home run in his only plate appearance during Monday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay.
It didn't quite match the drama of his ninth-inning, game-tying homer in Game 7 of the World Series last year, but Rojas' seventh-inning solo blast Monday ended up being the decisive moment in the Dodgers' victory. Rojas entered the game as a pinch hitter for Alex Freeland, who struck out twice and is just 1-for-13 over his past six contests. This was also Rojas' first showing since he was pulled from Saturday's matchup versus the White Sox due to a right shin issue, so the veteran infielder appears to be fine. He's probably going to continue seeing inconsistent playing time, however, as Los Angeles' infield situation is about to get more crowded with Tommy Edman (ankle) slated to be activated off the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Available off bench Sunday
Rojas said that he's available off the bench for Sunday's game against the White Sox after aggravating a right shin injury Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
The veteran infielder didn't start Saturday but entered the game in the top of the fifth inning as a pinch hitter for Alex Freeland. Rojas noted that he initially hurt his shin during the Dodgers' previous series in Pittsburgh, and he tweaked it again Saturday while grounding out. He was able to stay in the game on defense but got pulled in the top of the seventh after reaching base on a walk. Rojas told Plunkett that he elected to pull himself from the game because he didn't want to be further compromised while Yoshinobu Yamamoto was in the midst of a perfect game. Rojas doesn't expect his shin to be a serious concern.

Rojas appeared to be bothered by something during his plate appearance in the seventh inning and was lifted for a pinch runner after drawing a walk. It's unclear what exactly the veteran infielder is dealing with, but the Dodgers should provide more details in the near future.

Rojas will consider continuing his playing career in 2027, but only if the Dodgers win the World Series this season, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Rojas has said previously that the 2026 season would be his last, but he's leaving the door cracked open in the event the Dodgers are going for a four-peat next season. The 37-year-old is still capable and is off to a strong start in 2026, slashing .341/.375/.477 with one home run and a 3:7 BB:K.

Rojas, Hyeseong Kim and Alex Freeland were mentioned by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts as candidates to begin the campaign as the starter at second base with Tommy Edman (ankle) likely to be placed on the injured list, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Rojas re-signed with Los Angeles in December ahead of what he has stated will be his final season in the majors. The veteran infielder provided steady but unspectacular offense last season, slashing .262/.318/.397 with seven home runs, 27 RBI and five stolen bases over 317 regular-season plate appearances. Beyond that, though, he provided excellent defense and staked his place in Dodgers lore with his game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the ninth inning during Game 7 of the World Series. Among the trio mentioned by Roberts, Rojas has the lowest offensive upside, but he could still win the starting second-base job until Edman returns if the team favors his defense and veteran presence (especially if Kim and Freeland fail to impress during the spring slate).
