Martinez is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
The 36-year-old will get a breather in the series finale as Brandon Nimmo slots in as the designated hitter against right-hander Sixto Sanchez. Martinez seems to be finding his power stroke finally after joining the team late in spring training; he has five extra-base hits -- including two homers -- in his last eight games.
