Yamamoto (shoulder) was activated off the 60-day injured list Friday and optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Yamamoto had been out since late May with a sore right shoulder. He'd been pitching at the Triple-A level while on a rehab assignment and will now remain there as a normal member of the team.
