The Mets optioned Garza to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
Garza had covered three scoreless innings over the past two days, so he wasn't going to be available for the next game or two. New York opted to swap him off the 26-man roster for Ty Adcock, who was recalled from Syracuse.
