A CT scan on Blackburn's right hand came back negative Saturday, and he hopes to avoid the injured list and possibly make his next start, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Blackburn was hit in the hand by a comebacker Friday and Saturday's testing confirmed he's dealing with nothing more than a bruise. The right-hander is hopeful to not only avoid the injured list, but to be healthy enough to make his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
