Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Blue Jays.
Alonso cut the Mets' deficit to 4-3 in the sixth inning with a line-drive homer off Nate Pearson. It's Alonso's 21st long ball of the season, extending his league lead. The power-hitting first baseman had been struggling coming into Sunday's contest, going 2-for-19 (.105) with a .255 OPS in his last five games. Alonso is now slashing .231/.324/.538 with 47 RBI in 256 plate appearances this season.
