Garrett (elbow) allowed one hit and one walk but struck out three over a scoreless inning in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
Garrett has been shelved for the past four weeks with right elbow inflammation but shouldn't need many, if any, more rehab outings before being activated from the 15-day injured list. The righty reliever has contributed a 3.64 ERA and 63:22 K:BB across 42 frames out of the Mets' bullpen in 2024.
