Manaea (8-5) took the loss against the Mariners on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over three innings while striking out three.

All three runs charged to Manaea came across in the opening frame when the right-hander surrendered hits to four of the first six batters he faced, including three doubles, while also allowing a runner to advance on a wild pitch. He would manage to get through the next two innings unscathed but was relieved by Huascar Brazoban to open the fourth after throwing 85 pitches through three innings. It marked the shortest outing of the season for Manaea after hurling 14 scoreless frames over his previous two starts, while the five walks on the night matched his season high.
