The Nationals optioned Millas to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday.
Washington no longer had a need for Millas as a backup catcher after the team reinstated Keibert Ruiz (illness) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. During his week-and-a-half-long stint with the Nationals, Millas appeared in two games and went 1-for-6 with a stolen base.
