Tena (thumb) will start at third base and bat eighth in Thursday's contest versus the Phillies, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Tena missed two games with a fingernail issue on his right thumb, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in the series opener in Philadelphia. The 23-year-old is 2-for-5 with a couple RBI in the early going since getting a call-up from Triple-A Rochester after the Nationals acquired him in the July 29 trade that sent Lane Thomas to the Guardians.
