Minaya signed a minor-league contract Wednesday with the Nationals.
After being released from his minor-league deal with the Twins over the weekend, Minaya quickly found a home in a new organization. He appeared in relief Wednesday for Triple-A Rochester, tossing a scoreless inning against Syracuse. The 31-year-old could be a candidate for a promotion to the big club down the stretch if Washington requires an extra relief arm.
