Goody signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Tuesday, freelance baseball writer Byron Kerr reports.

Goody was let go by the Yankees on Sunday, but he'll land another minor-league roster spot just two days later. The right-hander made 17 relief appearances for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and was effective with a 2.86 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 22 innings. He's been assigned to Triple-A Rochester but could join the Nationals' pitching staff at some point in 2021.
