Harper was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The 32-year-old was sent to Triple-A earlier in the week but will return to the big-league club Thursday with Joe Ross (elbow) being placed on the injured list. Harper has allowed a run on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks over 9.2 innings for the Nationals this season.
