Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Shut down again

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Friday that Rodriguez (lat) recently experienced elbow discomfort while rehabbing and has been shut down from throwing for at least one week, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Rodriguez initially hit the injured list during spring training after experiencing elbow inflammation, but he sustained a mild right lat strain in the middle of April while ramping up that further delayed him from making his season debut. With the elbow issue popping back up following his most recent throwing session, Rodriguez's timeline to return from the 60-day injured list remains murky. Even if his elbow discomfort proves to be a minor concern that he quickly moves past, Rodriguez will likely still need at least a month to get fully stretched out before the Orioles entertain the possibility of bringing him back from the IL.
