The Orioles have added first baseman/outfielder Chris Parmelee to their 25- and 40-man rosters, per MASNSports.com.
Parmelee earned the promotion with his fine performance at Triple-A Norfolk where he compiled a slash line of .312/.381/.444 with 13 doubles, six home runs and 32 RBI in 61 games.
"We like him," Buck Showalter said. "He's played the outfield well and first base. He can do a lot of things. He has options to play in the big leagues somewhere else, I would imagine."
Parmelee has 812 at-bats in the major leagues, all with Minnesota.
