Arrieta went five innings in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Astros, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts. He didn't factor into the decision.
Making his second start with his new team after returning from injury, Arrieta was rolling early before surrendering a Carlos Correa home run that scored all three runs charged to Arrieta. It took the veteran righty just 64 pitches to make it through five frames and he was most likely pulled as a result of throwing only 11.1 big-league innings over the past month.
