Bedrosian will be the first pitcher on the mound for what's expected to be a bullpen game Thursday against the Cubs, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Bedrosian has allowed two runs on three hits in 5.1 innings since joining the Phillies at the start of September. He has a bit of experience in the opener role, filling it seven times for the Angels back in 2019. He averaged just one inning per "start" that season and has averaged the same number over his 20 relief appearances this year, so don't expect him to last much longer than that this time around.
