Phillies' Alan Rangel: Sent back to Triple-A
Rangel was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Pirates, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Rangel did not factor into the decision Thursday after he pitched four scoreless innings, surrendering three hits and four walks while striking out four batters during his start. He will now head back to Triple-A after combining to allow five runs while striking out 12 batters over 13 innings in three outings with Philadelphia following his call-up June 22. Rangel's spot in the rotation is set to appear one more time before the All-Star break, and the Phillies could go with a bullpen game in that contest.

Phillies' Alan Rangel: Delivers four scoreless frames
Rangel did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Pirates, allowing three hits and four walks over four scoreless innings. He struck out four.
Rangel had trouble with his command Thursday, throwing only 54 of his 90 pitches for strikes, though he was able to tiptoe his way through danger to hold the Pirates scoreless over four innings. The outing was the first traditional start of the season for Rangel, whose previous three appearances came in bulk relief. Overall, the right-hander sports a 3.38 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across 16 innings this season. Should he remain in the rotation, Rangel would line up for a road matchup with the Reds in his next outing.

Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Day off Thursday
Realmuto is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Pirates.
Realmuto started behind the dish in each of the first three games of the series, earning a breather during Thursday's matinee. Rafael Marchan will do the catching and bat ninth for the Phillies.

Phillies' Brandon Marsh: Homers again Wednesday
Marsh went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Pirates.
Marsh extended the Phillies' lead to 6-2 in the third inning with a solo shot off Paul Skenes. It's the 15th homer of the season for Marsh, leaving him one shy of his career high. The outfielder has been red hot at the plate, going 16-for-43 (.372) with six home runs and a 1.237 OPS over his last 10 games. It's been a breakout campaign overall for the 28-year-old Marsh, who's now slashing .319/.352/.530 with 46 RBI, 50 runs scored and eight stolen bases across 324 plate appearances.

Phillies' Zack Wheeler: Goes 4.2 innings vs. Pirates
Wheeler did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk across 4.2 innings. He struck out 10.
It was an odd start for Wheeler, as he set a season high with 10 strikeouts but also gave up a season-high 10 hits while failing to make it through five innings for the first time this year. The poor showing also ended a three-start win streak. Overall, the 36-year-old Wheeler is 8-1 with a 2.36 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 84:20 K:BB across 13 starts (80 innings). He's currently lined up to face the Reds on the road in his next outing.

Phillies' Brad Keller: On track to return before break
Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly said Wednesday that Keller (forearm) is expected to return before the All-Star break, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Keller threw a live batting practice session Tuesday and could make a rehab appearance Friday. The right-handed reliever has been sidelined since mid-June with forearm tendinitis, and he might require just the one rehab outing before being reinstated from the 15-day injured list.

Phillies' Trea Turner: Big night from leadoff spot
Turner went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Pirates.
Only three of the Phillies' 12 hits on the night went for extra bases, but Turner had two of them including a two-run homer off Brandan Bidois in the eighth inning. The star shortstop has gone yard in back-to-back games and has hit safely in eight straight, batting .342 (13-for-38) during that heater with three doubles, two home runs, one steal, six RBI and nine runs.

Phillies' Cristopher Sanchez: Blanks Bucs for win No. 10
Sanchez (10-3) picked up the win Tuesday, scattering three hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings in an 8-0 rout of the Pirates. He struck out nine.
The southpaw became the first starting pitcher in the majors this season to reach double-digit wins, although the Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski joined him later Tuesday night, and Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby has an MLB-leading 11 victories. Sanchez fired 66 of 92 pitches for strikes in a dominant performance that wasn't even derailed by a small cut on the top of his left thumb he picked up in the second inning. Over 11 starts and 76.2 innings since the beginning of May, Sanchez has dialed up a 1.53 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 86:10 K:BB to emerge as one of the frontrunners for the NL Cy Young Award. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Kansas City.

Phillies' Justin Crawford: Tallies three RBI in three-hit game
Crawford went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Pirates.
While Crawford isn't hitting for much power overall, he's still been swinging a fairly hot bat as of late. The rookie center fielder finished out the month of June having gone 23-for-75 (.307) with no home runs, four doubles, seven RBI and three stolen bases over 27 games. With Adolis Garcia (lat) and Johan Rojas (elbow) both done for the season, the left-handed-hitting Crawford is locked in as Philadelphia's primary center fielder.

Phillies' Brad Keller: Throws live batting practice
Keller (forearm) completed a live batting practice session Tuesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Phillies manager Don Mattingly said that Keller's next time throwing could be in a rehab game. The reliever looks to be on track to rejoin the big-league bullpen before the All-Star break. He's missed the last two weeks of action with right forearm tendinitis.
