Hall (thumb) started playing catch May 3 and has also resumed taking dry swings, MLB.com reports.
Hall underwent surgery on April 12 to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb. Following the operation, the Phillies offered a two-month timetable for Hall's return. That leaves him with roughly another month to go, and he'll certainly require some rehab games prior to activation.
