The Phillies selected Holder with the 11th pick of the Rule 5 draft.
A first-round pick by the Yankees in 2015, Holder is now 26 and has not played above Double-A. The infielder hit .265/.336/.405 with nine home runs and seven steals in 472 plate appearances at Double-A in 2019. He is a glove-first shortstop who will likely work as a defensive replacement in 2021 if the Phillies roster him for the entire season.
