The Phillies designated Henry for assignment Monday.
The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Caleb Kilian, whom the Phillies acquired in a trade with the Giants. Henry didn't see any action during his brief time in the majors with the Phillies in late July, and there's a good chance he'll pass through waivers.
