Holderman (wrist) threw a bullpen session Wednesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
The reliever could progress to facing hitters soon and it would appear he'll have a shot to be activated from the 15-day injured list when first eligible on Aug. 23. Holderman has been out with a right wrist sprain.
